About Us

Hi & welcome to Pintxo!

The concept of a Taperia was born from travels to Spain with my husband. Enchanted by the landscape, people and cuisine, we set out to bring a little bit of Spain to Brisbane.

After two years of planning, researching and finding the ideal location, we opened Pintxo’s doors in May 2009.

The idea has always been to focus on tapas dishes rather than traditional entrée, main and dessert style dining. We also wanted to offer our tapas in two different dining spaces. In many of the bars in Spain, the tapas bar is at the front of the building while the dining space is at the rear. At Pintxo these two dining spaces are side by side.

Our focus has always been on using the very best fresh produce, authentic Spanish ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. We source goods from as far as Sydney, Melbourne and Spain to ensure we give our guests what they deserve – a great dining experience that keeps them coming back for more!
